Last call is later than you think

D/6 Lounge, sixth floor of the DOUGLAS

D/6 is the DOUGLAS's lobby bar, and it is a lot more than that. Inside: a steam fireplace, shelves of books, a pool table. Behind a bookcase that does not look like a door sits the Hidden Lounge. Outside: a patio with its own bar under the eaves of BC Place, and the rooftop park beyond. The lounge says it serves on the patio all year. There is a free coat check, which in a Vancouver November is not a small thing.

Centre Bar, Level 2 (19+)

The bar in the middle of the casino's second floor. Parq calls it the social hub of the floor; it has 4K screens for sport and stays open daily from noon to 2 a.m. On Friday and Saturday a resident DJ plays from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. Because it is on the gaming level, you need to be 19 or older and carry ID.

The 50-foot screen, Level 3 (19+)

The Sportsbook Lounge on Level 3 has a 50-foot screen that can show up to ten games at once, plus food. Seats are first come, first served; it takes no reservations. On Friday and Saturday from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. a music-video DJ plays there with no cover charge, retro decades on Fridays and hip-hop and R&B from the 90s and 2000s on Saturdays. It sits inside the casino, so 19+ with ID.

Johnnie Walker Lounge (private)

A private room just off the casino floor that you rent for a party: up to 50 guests, 19+ only, booked through jwalkerbooking@parqvancouver.com. Think birthdays and staff parties, not a walk-in bar.
