| Hotel | Where | Average | Reviews |
|---|---|---|---|
| JW Marriott Parq Vancouver | Marriott.com | 4.4 out of 5 | 2,371 |
| the DOUGLAS, Autograph Collection | Marriott.com | 4.3 out of 5 | 1,000 (as published, a round figure) |
| JW Marriott Parq Vancouver | Google Maps place card | 4.2 | 5,221 |
How to read these numbers
Marriott's averages come from its own guests, who booked through Marriott and were asked to rate the stay. That is a real signal and a biased sample: people who book direct tend to be loyalty members who know the brand. Google's score mixes everyone who bothered to rate a map pin, including people who only walked past. Neither tells you about the night you are planning.
The DOUGLAS figure of exactly 1,000 reviews looks like a display cap, not a count. We print it as the hotel prints it.
What the resort chooses to show
Parq's own pages carry short guest headlines it selected, such as “Great location and was a welcome relief for the family” and, for the DOUGLAS, “Stay-cation at its best.” They are real quotes on the resort's site, and they are marketing. We mention them so you know they are not ours.
What we did not use
We did not read or count Tripadvisor, Expedia or Booking scores for this page. We would rather give you two verified numbers than ten copied ones.
