What we collect
When you send the form: your name, email, optional mobile number, the dates, the number of people, the tower you prefer and any notes you write, plus the page you sent it from. We also log the time it arrived and the IP address it came from, to filter spam.
Why
To answer your request: to check availability and prices for you and to write back. If you go ahead with a stay, the details needed for the reservation go to the hotel or to the booking partner that makes it. Nothing else.
What we do not do
- We do not set cookies.
- We do not run analytics, a tag manager, advertising pixels or social widgets.
- We do not sell, rent or share your details for marketing.
- We do not send newsletters.
Who processes data for us
| Service | Role | What it sees |
|---|---|---|
| DigitalOcean | Hosts the site on a server in Toronto, Canada | The requests your browser makes, including your IP address |
| Cloudflare | Delivers the site and routes email sent to hello@ | Your IP address and request data; the content of emails you send us |
| Our booking desk | Reads and answers your request | Everything you put in the form |
| Google Maps | Shows the map on two pages | Your IP address, and Google may set cookies, but only when the map loads |
The Google map
On the front page, the map loads only when you press the button. On the getting-here page, the map is embedded and loads as you scroll to it. In both cases the map is served by Google, which receives your IP address and may set its own cookies under its own policy. Links to Google Maps routes open Google's site.
How long we keep it
For as long as it takes to handle your request and any stay that follows, then for our records for no more than 24 months after your last message. If a stay was booked, the part we need to account for the commission is kept as long as Canadian tax rules require. After that it is deleted.
Your rights
We handle personal information in line with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act and British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act. You can ask to see what we hold about you, have it corrected, or have it deleted: write to hello@falsecreeknights.com. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia.
