The crush you skip
Every big show at BC Place or Rogers Arena ends the same way. The crowd pours out onto the streets around the stadiums and splits three ways: towards Stadium–Chinatown station on the Expo Line, towards Yaletown–Roundhouse on the Canada Line, and towards the car parks and ride pick-up points. Parq lists those two stations at 850 and 800 metres from its door. Those are the same platforms everyone else is walking to.
When your bed is in the building next to the stadium, you leave that whole problem on the pavement. That is the entire pitch of this site, in one paragraph.
The first hour, three ways
- A
Straight up
Lift, shower, sleep. The morning brunch is the reward. Most underrated choice on the list.
- B
One drink, then up
D/6 on the sixth floor runs to 1 a.m. on Thursday and 3 a.m. on Friday and Saturday. The crowd outside thins while you sit.
- C
Food first
Koi Noodle Bar serves until 12:15 a.m. (19+); 24/7 Eats never closes (19+); Parq Market sells snacks all night.
If you drove
Do not try to leave the garage at the same moment as the stadium. Parq's own garage is open 24 hours. If you are staying over, the car can stay where it is; hotel valet is $65 with check-out of the vehicle at 4 p.m., by Parq's published rates. More on parking.
If someone in your group is not staying
Taxis and ride-share pick up at Parq's P1 Departure Lounge and drop off at the ground-level driveway by the main entrance, according to Parq. Pointing a friend to a specific pick-up spot inside a building beats a phone call on a crowded corner.
What we do not know
We have not timed the exits, and nobody publishes how long a stadium takes to empty. We are not going to give you a number. We can only say that a lift ride is shorter than any of the alternatives.
